Small enough to fit on a narrow bedside table. Considered enough to deserve a wider one. The Lurien Halo is the lamp that proves size has nothing to do with presence and that the most intimate scale is sometimes the most memorable.

The glass disc is the Lurien's entire composition, held above a tapered walnut base by a brass connector that is minimal enough to disappear and considered enough to be noticed. The disc itself is double-layered a clear outer glass enclosing a frosted inner one, the space between them visible as depth rather than thickness. When lit, the frosted inner disc glows from within the clear outer, the warmth contained and concentrated before it diffuses outward. The brass boss on top holds the two layers together and adds the kind of finishing detail that a piece at twice the price would be proud of.

The toggle switch on the side of the walnut base is not incidental. It is the lamp's most tactile moment a small, satisfying click that makes operating the Lurien feel like an action rather than a reflex. It joins the pull-chains of the Aurelith and the Valmere Fold as one of the range's collection of considered switches each one a small argument for the idea that how a lamp turns on is part of what the lamp is.

At 20cm wide and 22cm tall, the Lurien is the most compact piece in the table lamp range. It sits on a bedside table without imposing on it, on a desk without competing with the work on it, on a shelf as an object that happens also to be a light. The entry point to the Panache table lamp collection and the one that makes the strongest case for why the entry point matters.
