A room exhales differently around something this quiet. The frame sits low, almost ground-level, its cushion broken into soft channels of fabric that hold light rather than reflect it, closer to bone than white, closer to chalk than cream. One end rises into a single low arm; the rest stretches flat, open, asking nothing of how you sit. In Jodhpur, hands shaped the solid wood plinth beneath it, block-jointed and left raw at the grain, the kind of base that reads as sculpture even with nothing resting on it. Beneath a skylight or the high ceilings of a hotel suite, its pale form becomes the room's still point, everything else arranges around it. In a Notting Hill garden room or the corner of a spa lounge at midday, this is the piece that makes the light feel deliberate.
