Tier upon tier of amber glass discs, each one overlapping the next, the whole composition stepping downward from broad to narrow in the silhouette of a chandelier that knows exactly what a chandelier should look like, and has chosen to make that form from something entirely its own.
The Orvella takes the traditional stepped chandelier silhouette and rebuilds it from the inside out. Where a conventional chandelier uses crystal drops or fabric shades, the Orvella uses individual textured glass discs, each one slightly concave, each one catching the light at a different angle, the rows overlapping so densely that the brass armature behind them barely registers. The effect, when lit, is of something alive, a surface that shifts and shimmers as the eye moves, warm amber light escaping through every gap between discs and spilling outward in all directions at once.
The crown detail is the finishing touch that earns the piece its authority, a row of larger discs peeking above the topmost tier, their edges visible from across the room, giving the chandelier a presence from every angle. From directly below, tier upon tier of amber glass in a stepped profile that fills the ceiling with warmth.
