There are textures that carry the quality of something found deep within the earth , hammered, mineral, formed under pressure into surfaces that catch light with extraordinary, constant variety. The Grotto table set carries that quality across two organically formed pieces in a deeply textured silver finish. Each table's surface reads as geological , hammered and irregular, the light moving across it differently at every hour , while the forms themselves carry the quality of something naturally occurring, like coral or stalactite reduced to a domestic and entirely magnificent scale. Placed together or apart, large beside medium, they compose a landscape in miniature that a room is glad to contain.
