Dining chairs ask to be pulled in and pushed away a hundred times. Crest asks to be neither, it asks to be arrived at and remained in. Its form is the collection's most enveloping: a wide, open backrest that curves into two sweeping arms, the whole upholstered surface describing a continuous horseshoe of bouclé that wraps around the sitter from behind. Thick tapered legs carry the form with a grounded confidence that the drama of the back makes welcome rather than heavy. In White, the chair reads as sculpture. In Anthracite, as architecture. In Turtle, as the room's most considered piece of living colour. Crest does not sit quietly at a table. It makes the table worth sitting at.
