The piece
Most lights choose a direction. The Verelis chooses two, light escaping upward and downward simultaneously, tracing twin halos against the wall and filling a room from both ends of the same breath. The effect is not dramatic. It is something quieter and more lasting than that.
The form is a cylinder of veined stone, its surface alive with the grey and cream markings that no two pieces share in quite the same way. Mounted on a generously proportioned brushed brass wall plate, it projects just enough from the wall to let the light find its way, above and below, spreading softly outward until the room feels held rather than lit.
The Verelis belongs beside a bed, flanking a headboard in pairs, or set at intervals along a corridor where the rhythm of light and stone becomes part of the architecture itself. It is a piece that rewards proximity, the closer you are, the more the veining reveals itself, and the more the light seems to come from within the stone rather than from any source you could name.
