Three walnut beads above. One below. Between them, a ribbed silk disc, 50cm across, glowing with the warmth of something lit from a great distance. The Orvane Axis is the most considered piece in the range, and the one most likely to be the first thing a guest reaches to touch.
The composition is vertical and deliberate. A stack of dark walnut beads threads onto a slender brass rod above the disc, each sphere smooth, each one satisfying in a way that makes the whole piece feel handmade even from across the room. Below the disc, a single bead hangs as counterweight, completing the axis and giving the Orvane a quality of balance that no conventional pendant achieves.
The silk disc itself is ribbed, each panel slightly convex, slightly independent, glowing individually in a segmented warmth that references the paper lantern traditions of East Asia and the craft pendant studios of Scandinavia simultaneously. The light that falls from it is soft and directional without being harsh, a warm pool below, a gentle halo at the rim, and enough ambient warmth above to make the ceiling feel part of the composition.
In the Panache range, the Orvane occupies a singular position, it is the piece with the most personality. Warm where others are architectural, playful where others are restrained, tactile where others are visual. A dining room, a bedroom, or a boutique hotel lobby that has the confidence to hang something this considered above its most important space.
