There is a confidence in the cut , the decision to remove rather than add, to let the absence define the form as clearly as the presence. The Aperture bar stool carries that confidence in its open back: a considered cutout that gives the warm amber-gold chenille upholstery its sculptural quality and the piece its entire character. Four slender tapered dark metal legs carry it with mid-century precision, a footrest rail completing the form at exactly the right height. Upholstered, architectural, and entirely resolved , place it at a kitchen island or bar counter where the seating deserves to be as considered as everything else in the room.
