Ochre is named for the oldest colour humanity has ever used to mark something beautiful , and the bouclé of this chair earns that name completely. Warm mustard-gold, neither yellow nor brown but precisely itself, it sits against the honey beech frame with the naturalness of two things that were always going to be found together. The open armrests and wide rounded backrest are the same generous proportions that make this frame so quietly right , and in this particular upholstery, they carry a depth of warmth that makes the chair feel like autumn light given permanent form. The table it belongs to already knows it has been waiting for this.
